Self-confident thirty-something Maja loves her stressful job as a doctor in a Berlin hospital. Perhaps she even loves it a little too much, because one night she is unexpectedly left by her boyfriend Frijo, who feels hopelessly neglected by her. Shortly afterwards, Maja's mother, who is as charming as she is dominant, moves in with her.
