Thirteen-year-old Mari is sent home from Catholic school for performing a sexual act on the vice-principal's son. This trips a chain of events that forces mother and daughter to confront the lies that have delicately kept their relationship from falling apart. Ultimately they will each take comfort in the dysfunction that has kept their bond so strong.
