Based stylistically on film noir, Fabian Lang’s animated graphic novel revolves around one of Austria’s most spectacular corruption affairs: what develops is a short film based on hundreds of documents, statements, and wiretap protocols that journalistically and artistically condenses the events around the Causa BUWOG and its key figures Karl-Heinz Grasser, Peter Hochegger, and Walter Meischberger in an unprecedented way.
